Dr. Mukesh Kumar Ravidas’s life is a tale of dreams, dedication, and deep love for his roots. Born into a modest family in Bihar, he spent his childhood gazing at the sky, watching aeroplanes fly by and imagining what it would feel like to sit inside one. At that time, flying in a plane seemed like an impossible dream for a young boy from a small village. But with hard work, strong values, and blessings from his family and Gurudev, he turned that childhood dream into reality and much more.
Dr. Ravidas began his journey with education as his greatest strength. He worked diligently, studied with full focus, and always believed that knowledge is the true power that can change lives. His love for languages took him to many places. He learned Spanish for over 13 years and became a respected scholar of the Spanish language. He had the golden opportunity to study at the Caro and Cuervo Institute in Bogotá, Colombia, one of the world’s oldest Spanish language institutes. He spent time understanding a new culture and building friendships, connecting Bihar to Latin America.
Travel became his passion and purpose. What started as small flights within India, from Delhi to Bengaluru and his hometown, soon expanded to journeys across borders. He visited Bhutan, Nepal, and almost all of Europe, Spain, Portugal, Germany, France, Denmark, and many other countries. His longest and most unforgettable journey was to Colombia. It was a tough 40-hour flight with layovers in Dubai and Brazil, crossing oceans and continents. But every hour spent in the sky reminded him how far a boy from Bihar can go if he dares to dream.

Even while travelling so far, he always carried Bihar in his heart. He never forgot the taste of Khichdi on a Saturday or the warmth of home-cooked food. In foreign lands, he found joy in the smallest things, like eating Chole Bhature at an Indian restaurant run by a Sardarji in Bogotá or finding an Art of Living Centre where he got Khichdi just when he missed home the most. For him, these moments were miracles and signs that good work never goes unnoticed.
As an Art of Living teacher, Dr. Ravidas has shared Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s message of peace, meditation, and service worldwide. He believes that inner peace can help solve society’s biggest problems, and he has seen this firsthand. He feels blessed to be part of Gurudev’s mission, which has brought peace to places like Colombia, where violence persisted for decades.

All his travels, studies, and teachings have shaped him into someone eager to give back. Having visited over 20 countries, he knows that Bihar has the potential to stand tall on the global stage. He envisions a Bihar where every youth receives the right education, skills, and jobs so they don’t have to leave their villages or towns to find work. He aims to promote tourism, create rural employment, and support local businesses so families can stay united and grow together.
Now, Dr. Mukesh Kumar Ravidas is stepping forward to serve Bihar through politics. For him, politics is not about power but about people. He strives to be a leader who listens, understands, and advocates for farmers, students, women, and children. He wants development to reach every village and home. He dreams of inspiring Bihar’s youth to dream big and providing them with the means to realise those dreams right in their land.
He says, “If a small boy from Bihar can fly over oceans and study with people from around the world, then every child in Bihar has the same power. We just need to give them the wings.”
Today, Dr. Mukesh Kumar Ravidas invites you to join him in building a new Bihar, one filled with hope, opportunities, peace, and pride. A Bihar where tradition and progress go hand in hand. A Bihar where every dream can reach the sky.
